Annual Catholic High School Scholarship Award

At least six 8th grade girls and six 8th grade boys, entering an area Catholic School as a freshman in 2012, will each receive up to a $2,500.00 scholarship!
We encourage all 8th grade teachers to make this a class project as the school with the most essays (based on the percentage and number of students) will be eligible for a cash prize! Students must submit their own typed essay of no more than 500 words. Essay Topics are provided by CBN-MC each year. Click Here for guideline information.

Need Based Scholarships

The Need-Based Scholarship was initiated by CBN-MC in 2007 through seed money provided by John C. Grimberg Co., Inc. in Rockville. The Scholarships are awarded to Montgomery County Catholic Elementary School students / families with financial, physical or learning challenges. To protect the dignity of the student and family, principals apply for the scholarship on behalf of the student anonymously. Rob Smith of Fitzgerald Auto Mall, our annual Gala auctioneer, has made a passionate plea at each year’s auction, and the attendees have responded by contributing over $15,000 each year for this scholarship. As result of the generosity of these donors, CBN-MC has been able to award a scholarship to every applicant for the first four years of this program. Thanks to all the donors who made this possible. CBN-MC is proud to announce that through seed money provided by John C. Grimberg Co., Inc., two full Elementary School Need Based Scholarships of $5,000 each will once again be added for the 2011-2012 school year and will be selected from the Need Based Applications submitted by the Principals. CBN-MC is hopeful in sustaining this program by the generosity of donors during the live auction appeal at the Gala. Applications must be received by regular mail no later than December 12, 2011.
