About Us
|
The Catholic Business Network of Montgomery County is an organization comprised of women and men who strive to apply the principles of the Roman Catholic faith to their daily lives in the marketplace. We seek to strengthen our Catholic faith and interparish relationships by sharing professional experiences, fostering business ethics and social responsibility, and promoting community service. Respectful of ages, races, cultural, and religious backgrounds, the Catholic Business Network of Montgomery County also welcomes people of other faiths to come together in the spirit of fellowship to advance Catholic morality, values, and ethics in the marketplace. From the beginning CBN-MC and all CBNs in the area have made Catholic Education the focus of their charitable work. CBN-MC has raised and distributed nearly $250,000 in development grants to schools, scholarship grants and tuition assistance grants (the latter through the Shepherd Foundation, one of the early supporters of CBN-MC). "CBN-MC is creating a whole new generation of business support for Catholic Education," Monsignor William S. O'Donnell, Chaplain of Catholic Cemeterys said after participating in a CBN-MC Awards Gala. As a networking center,CBN-MC has successfully pulled Catholic business men and women together across parish boundaries creating an increased awareness within the parishes of who is in business and what goods and services are offered. Time is arranged at breakfast meetings for structured table networking. Twice annually a Business Fair is held at the breakfast when members are invited to exhibit their wares to other members. At each breakfast members report the deals they have made with fellow members in the recent past. |
